Pigment and mineral ground on linen
240 x 180 cm
Framed in black oak
Painting conceived not as image, but as spatial structure.
A weighted field occupies the left, holding density without visual noise. A narrow vertical interruption establishes a measured axis, while a continuous horizontal datum stabilises the composition at its base.
Tone is reduced into a restrained mineral register, eliminating contrast in favour of calibration. Edges are held quietly, allowing form to resolve through proportion rather than emphasis.
The composition operates through balance, not movement.
It does not depict stillness.
It constructs it.
